Client Privacy Policy
At Canyon Creek Investment Advisors (“CCIA”), we value the trust you place in us. As your fiduciary, we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. This policy outlines how we collect, share, and protect your data in accordance with federal law and SEC Regulation S-P.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with comprehensive financial planning and investment management services, we collect nonpublic personal information about you. This may include:
Identity Information: such as your Social Security number, name, and address.
Financial Data: including your income, assets, investment experience, account balances, and transaction history.
Engagement Details: information you provide when entering into an investment advisory agreement or requesting financial planning advice.
2. How We Protect Your Information
To safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal law.
Physical Security: We secure our physical premises and restrict access to files containing sensitive information.
Electronic Security: We utilize computer safeguards, secured files, and advanced encryption to protect your digital data.
Procedural Safeguards: We limit access to your personal information to those employees who need it to provide products or services to you.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share your personal information only in specific, limited circumstances necessary to run our everyday business:
For Everyday Business Purposes: We may share information with non-affiliated third parties (such as your custodian, broker-dealer, or other financial institutions) to process your transactions, maintain your account(s), or respond to court orders and legal investigations.
With Your Consent: We may share information if you specifically request or authorize it.
Succession Planning: We may share information with a successor advisor if necessary in connection with the unexpected death, incapacity, or retirement of the firm's principal owner(s) to ensure continuity of service.
4. Limitations on Sharing
Marketing: We do not share your information with affiliates or non-affiliates for them to market to you.
Joint Marketing: We do not engage in joint marketing with other financial companies.
SMS Messaging: We strictly prohibit sharing mobile information or text messaging originator opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Your Rights
Federal law gives you the right to limit some but not all sharing. For example, you have the right to limit sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes regarding your creditworthiness. However, since CCIA does not share information for marketing purposes or creditworthiness assessments with affiliates, these opt-outs are generally not applicable to our business model.
